Butterfly Villa Hikkaduwa

Butterfly Villa is located along Panvilla Road, away from the noisy Galle Road, at 150 mt from Baddegama Road junction. This newly built, modern home was completed in November 2017.

Butterfly Villa is the perfect home for those who like to have a peaceful holiday stay in Hikkaduwa, while still near the excitement of the city.

The Villa is close to many attractions like Diving and Snorkelling areas, Beaches, a Coral Reef, Giant Turtles, a Turtle Hatchery, Lagoons, River Safari, the Fishing Village of Dodanduwa, Galle Fort and a little farther, Yala National Park to see jungle animals like elephants, leopards, water buffalo and others.

Many restaurants and coffee bars are nearby, where you can eat delicious Rice & Curry, a Sri Lankan typical food.

At the downtown Bus Station you can catch a bus and experience the adventure, or you can hire a tuk tuk for short rides, but if you need going further you may travel by train and admire the landscape with its magnificent colours of a warm red sunset.

We can arrange Airport Shuttle service, if you inform us when booking.

By renting Butterfly Villa you will participate to fulfil our project and make our dream come true.

Butterfly Villa belongs to Associazione Fabio Jonathan Onlus GL, a Sri Lankan Company part of a project born in Italy with Associazione Fabio Jonathan Onlus with the aim to teach for free the English Language to poor children in Sri Lanka and particularly in Hikkaduwa.

This villa has been built to be rented out to tourists and use the earned money to build the school building in the nearby land, bought years ago.

The school building will be two floors. There will be rooms for teaching English, a computer laboratory, and a well fitted library.

The school property has already been fenced, fitted with a water well and a few trees.

Once the School building will be completed, Butterfly Villa will be transformed into a recreational activities area for our children were there will be a theatre, a pottery workshop, a painting room, a cooking room, a swimming pool and classes for all these subjects will be offered for free to our students.

On the roof terrace, there will be built two bedrooms with a bathroom to host English mother tongue volunteers while they are teaching. We follow the Cambridge University Course Program. Our aim is to offer the best chance to our students, and hopefully in the near future, to also offer a Certificate of Completion of the English Language.

Our library and other amenities like the future swimming pool, will be open to our students and all nearby children that would like to use it.

While children will be following our classes, mothers will be invited to follow an English language course for adults and/or watch educational movies.
